Reviewing Applications as an Organization Admin
As an Organization Admin, you have the crucial responsibility of reviewing scholarship applications submitted to offerings owned by your organization. This guide will walk you through the steps for efficiently managing and reviewing these applications.
Step 1: Navigate to the Applicants Tab
To begin, you need to go to the ‘Applicants’ tab in your organization’s dashboard. The navigation steps are as follows:
- Click on ‘Organizations’ from the main menu.
- Select your organization from the list.
- Click on the ‘Applicants’ tab.
Step 2: Understanding the Applicant Table
Once in the ‘Applicants’ tab, you’ll see a table containing various details for each applicant. The table includes the following columns:
- Name: The applicant’s full name.
- Date: The date the applicant submitted their application.
- Email: The email address of the applicant.
- Phone Number: The phone number of the applicant.
- Offering: The scholarship offering for which the applicant has applied.
- Assigned Champion: The name of the champion assigned to the applicant or the word ‘Unassigned’ if no champion is assigned.
- Status: The current status of the application, which could be ‘Applied’, ‘Approved’, ‘Rejected’, or ‘Complete’.
Step 3: Update Application Status from Table
To quickly update the status of an applicant, locate the pencil icon next to the applicant’s status in the table. Clicking this icon allows you to modify the status. You can choose from ‘Approved’, ‘Rejected’, or ‘Archived’.
Step 4: Detailed Applicant Review
For a more detailed review, click on the applicant’s name. This will take you to the ‘applicant detail page’, where you can see their application, including all their responses to the scholarship application fields.
Step 5: Changing Status from Detail Page
While on the ‘applicant detail page’, you can change the application status by clicking on the ‘Applied’ status button. You can either ‘approve’, ‘reject’, or ‘archive’ an application from this page. However, note that the status can only be set to ‘Complete’ when all ‘milestones’ associated with the offering have been fulfilled.
Conclusion
Reviewing applications is a vital part of your role as an Organization Admin. Following these steps will help you manage the review process efficiently, ensuring that deserving applicants are accurately identified and processed.
